ReplyDeleteKia ora Sofaia,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you have been enjoying this holiday period and have had some happy moments with your whānau. I was lucky enough to get away with my son and spend some quality time with him and my immediate family. We spent a lot of time at the beach enjoying the beautiful sunshine. What have you been up to this summer?
Awesome work on completing a venn diagram comparing and contrasting Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. You have included some great similarities and differences and presented them in an attractive way. Have you ever completed one of these before? From your post, I learnt that Jean Batten was New Zealand born, female solo pilot. I have never heard of her before so I went and read a little more about her. Did you know that she took a little kitten on both of her famous flights between England and Australia? His name was Buddy.
Keep up the incredible work, Sofaia.
Ngā mihi,
Megan :)
Ahiahi pai Sofaia, how has your summer been? What have you been up to?
ReplyDeleteMy name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next week! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.
I like how you’ve made a clear and colourful venn diagram and the images make it really eye-catching. The information you’ve provided about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart was interesting too. They were both pretty amazing women weren’t they!? Did you know that Jean would take a silk dress with her on her flights, so that she could look beautiful wherever she landed! Have you been on a plane before? If you have, where did you go? Do you think you’d like to fly a plane if you had the chance to?
Just a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!
Thanks for posting and we hope to see some more awesome work from you in the next week!
Ka kite,
Eliza :)
